4-Week Youth Art Club – Explore, Create, Discover!
Join us for a fun and inspiring 4-week Youth Art Club where young creators, ages 13-18, get to experiment with a new art medium each week! This program is perfect for budding artists who love to try new things, build confidence, and express themselves in a supportive, imaginative environment.
Each session focuses on a different medium:
🎨 Week 1 – Sketching: Learn the basics of drawing, shading, and observation while exploring creative prompts.
🖌️ Week 2 – Acrylic Painting: Dive into bold colours, brush techniques, and simple composition skills.
💧 Week 3 – Watercolour: Discover the magic of water and pigment with washes, blending, and fun special effects.
🗿 Week 4 – Sculpting: Get hands-on with a sculpting medium as we create artworks full of texture and personality.
Students will complete unique projects each week, gain new skills, and build confidence in their artistic abilities. All supplies are included — just bring your creativity!

IN PERSON at The Maker's Circle 17 Peter St S. Orillia
This class is instructed by local artist Melissa Van Dam. Melissa has been teaching and creating with graphite, watercolour, and acrylics in the Orillia area for over 15 years. She also recently completed 100 paintings in 100 days in the watercolour medium, all of which can be found on her website and social media.
All supplies are provided.
Min *4 people to run the class, if a class does not run, a credit will be applied to a future class. Missed classes will not be refunded or applied as a credit.
