Ready to start your watercolour journey? This 6-week beginner-friendly course is designed to gently guide you through the fundamentals of watercolour while building your confidence and creativity! Whether you’ve never picked up a brush or you’re returning after years away, you’ll learn essential techniques step-by-step. From washes and colour mixing to texture, layering, and simple compositions.
Each week features hands-on demos, fun exercises, and a supportive environment where questions are encouraged and experimentation is celebrated. By the end of the course, you’ll have a solid toolkit of skills, several finished pieces, and the confidence to continue exploring watercolour on your own.
Come connect, create, and enjoy the calming flow of watercolour - no experience required, all supplies provided!

This class is instructed by local artist Melissa Van Dam. Melissa has been teaching and creating with graphite, watercolour, and acrylics in the Orillia area for over 15 years. She also recently completed 100 paintings in 100 days in the watercolour medium, all of which can be found on her website and social media.
All supplies are provided.
Min *4 people to run the class, if a class does not run, a credit will be applied to a future class. Missed classes will not be refunded or applied as a credit.
