I love how symbols can mean different things to different people. Years ago, while building my children’s book portfolio, I painted this wonky little rainbow, imagining it in a nursery or child’s room.

Since then, I’ve heard stories from people who see rainbows as symbols of hope after loss, faith through difficult seasons, or the joy of embracing their true selves.

When I think of our theme, Around the Table, I think about the moments that connect us. Despite our differences, we share community, stories, and symbols of joy - gathering together and creating like the big kids we are.
