Time is Like a River

I always lived in the future which meant I was never present to enjoy any phase of my life.  With distance, I realize that was wrong and did not appreciate what I had, what I did, or who I was in the moment.  So much time was wasted on self-doubt and self-criticism. Time that cannot be reclaimed.  Now with a broken body, all I have is memories and regrets. Just like a river, you never touch the same water twice. So … appreciate yourself for who you are now!  Be present and enjoy each new adventure and experience!
